Neil Gaudion founded Lighthouse in August 2020. A mechanical engineer by training, Mr. Gaudion has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. This experience includes “boots on the ground” engagements on large and complex construction sites, such as serving as the Project Controls Manager for a Global Fortune 500 company in the development of a $1.9 billion copper and cobalt production facility in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mr. Gaudion also had the opportunity early in his career to work on significant projects such as the Central Artery / Tunnel Project (“Big Dig”) in Boston, MA. This unique perspective provided valuable insights into the demands and processes of construction law practitioners and the expectations and needs of dispute resolution neutrals, and informed the fundamental importance of an expert’s independent role in providing analysis and opinions based on the objective consideration of all relevant project information that are clearly explained and supported by verifiable documentation and data.
Mr. Gaudion has testified in ICC and AAA arbitrations, U.S. courts, and the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, and has been accepted as an expert in delay, disruption, project controls, project scheduling, cost estimating, schedule analysis, labor inefficiency, damages, change order review, claim analysis and other related areas of expertise. Since 2016, Mr. Gaudion has been recognized annually by Who’s Who Legal as a leading Construction Expert Witness and “thought leader” who is specifically recognized for “analyses and opinions” that “are thorough, objective, extremely high-caliber and persuasively delivered.”
Prior to founding Lighthouse, Mr. Gaudion served as the Global Co-Leader of the Construction Solutions Practice for a large international consulting firm.
